Most sedimentary structures observed by conventional methods can be easily identified
from borehole images. According to H. Blatt, G. Middleton and R. Murray, sedimentary
structures can be broadly classified as:
1. Current Structures:
Crossbedding, basal Conform, and scour Surface
2. Penecontemporaneous Deformation Structures:
Drape, compaction, slump, load casts, and convolute lamination.
3. Biogenic Structures:
Bioturbation
